SUMMARY
Starting on a triangle that joins Alentejo, Algarve and the sea, this tour takes you along a fantastic coastline of rough cliffs and beautiful beaches on the Algarve Wild West Coast, one of the most well preserved landscapes all over Europe.
The entire Hiking Tour goes on SW Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park that boasts a diversity of rare botanical species, with very interesting flora and a variety of maritime birds that nest here.
The Natural Park extends itself along the Portuguese coast and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean!
During the trek we cross wonderful beaches and sometimes it is possible to take a swim in the limpid and clear sea. Cliffs are steep, almost 100m high and right above the ocean. Countless rocks and isolated islets complete this beautiful and unique scenery. The pleasant welcome in the villages and the rich culinary heritage of this region only serve to further ensure an unforgettable holiday.
This Tour will end near Sagres, on the cliffs of Cape S. Vicente – the place where the land ends and the sea begins – the south-westernmost point of Continental Europe. This is the place from where our forefathers sailed away on their caravels seeking new worlds and cultures five centuries ago!
NOTE: This tour has some exposed passes on the cliffs. Not recommended for people who feel dizzy easily.
