Nepal at a Glance is a 12 day adventure ecompassing some of Nepal’s most spectacular sights. This trip is available year-round, including dates over Christmas and New Year’s.

Your journey begins in Kathmandu, with a guided tour of the city and designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the surrounding region. From there, you travel to the city of Pokhara, to embrak on the famous Ghorepani – Ghandruk trek. This route, located in the Annapurna region, boasts some of the best trekking in all of Nepal. Enjoy stunning mountain scenery, charming villages inhabited by the Gurung & Magar people, dense rhododendron forests full of birds, and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurna mountain range with the picturesque Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominating the skyline. One of the highlights of this trip is the early morning climb up Poon Hill. As the sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna I (8,091m), along with a maze of other peaks which gradually appear in the dawn light; a magic that your eyes can hardly believe.

Upon your return to Pokhara you will travel to Chitwan National Park to experience a 3 day safari tour. Chitwan is a World Heritage Site and home to over 700 species of wildlife including crocodiles, Bengal tigers, rhinocerous, leopards, sloth bears, and a multitude of birds. From Chitwan you will return to Kathmandu, to enjoy another day of sightseeing and exploring ancient temples and towns in the area.

Trip Highlights: panoramic views of famous Himalayan peaks, including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, and Mahhapurche (Fishtail), watching the sunrise from Poon Hill, exploring the unique culture of the Gurung and Thakali people.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu or meet our representative in Kathmandu. – transfer to hotel. Overnight (O/N) Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara and late afternoon enjoy a visit to Bajra Barahi Temple and boating on Phewa Lake. O/N Hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Nayapul and begin the trek to Tirkhedhunga (1,491m). O/N Lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,848m). O/N Lodge.
Day 05: Early morning visit to Poon hill (3,180m) and trek to Tadapani (2,600m). O/N Lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Ghandruk (1,920m). O/N Lodge.
Day 07: Trek back to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. O/N Hotel.
Day 08: Drive to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. O/N Resort/Hotel.
Day 09: Chitwan National Park. O/N Resort /Hotel.
Day 10: Fly to Kathmandu Rest of the day on your own. O/N Hotel.
Day 11: Kathmandu sightseeing, including the Buddhist stupa of Boudhnath, Patan Durbar Square, and Kathmandu Durbar Square all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. O/N Hotel.
Day 12: Last day of trip.
Note: Walking hours each day range from a minimum of 3.5 hrs to a maximum of 5-6 hrs. And this trip can be arranged at any date for a minimum of 2 pax.
