Mount Meru Ascent (4556m)
Mount Meru is often seen solely as an acclimatisation ascent before attempting Kilimanjaro, yet most climbers come away exhilarated by the experience of ascending a steep ridge line, with a crater rim that rivals Kilimanjaro. Its slopes are home to a large wildlife population including elephants and mountain reedbuck. This option can be taken on its own or combined with a Kilimanjaro climb.
