Dingle Peninsula Guided Walk

The Dingle Peninsula is one of the most spectacular regions on Ireland's West Coast.

Moreover it is steeped in history, mythology and traditional Irish culture.

There is no other landscape in Western Europe with the same density and variety of archaeological monuments.

This mountainous finger of land, jutting into the Atlantic Ocean, has supported various tribes and populations for at least 6,000 years.

It is impossible to visit the Dingle Peninsula and not be impressed by its archaeological heritage, which ranges from prehistoric times through the Early Christian period to the Middle Ages.

There are plenty of small hamlets to enjoy good Irish cheer along the way and in the evenings you will stay at a selection of B&B's, chosen for their good character, location and excellent Irish breakfasts.

Itinerary / Highlights

DAY 1 Arrive Tralee

DAY 2 Walk along the Slieve Mish Mountains overlooking North Kerry and Tralee Bay and return to Tralee (5hrs)

DAY 3 Walk to Annascaul and transfer to Dingle (5hrs)

DAY 4 Walk around Slea Head, return to Dingle (5hrs)

DAY 5 Free day - option to visit Great Blasket Island

DAY 6 Follow the Dingle Way to picturesque village of Cloghane (5hrs)

DAY 7 Walk in the heart of the Brandon Range of mountains to 'paternoster lakes' and return to Cloghane (5-7hrs)

DAY 8 Transfer to Tralee, trip concludes
