Numerous churches and monasteries mark the Compostela Trail and bring to life the unique history of this fascinating route. Our walking journey explores sections of the trail with isolated monasteries and churches that remain inaccessible to the majority of travellers.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Join St Jean de Pied de Port (France)
DAY 2 Walk into Spain and cross three passes to Roncevaux (or Burguete) (7hrs)
DAY 3 Pass through typical Basque country villages to Zubiri (4-5hrs)
DAY 4 Enter Navarre and walk to Pamplona (5-6hrs)
DAY 5 Walk to the medieval city of Puente la Reina (6hrs)
DAY 6 Walk to Estella (5hrs)
DAY 7 Walk through vineyards to Los Arcos (5hrs)
DAY 8 Cross into Rioja and on to Logrono (7hrs)
DAY 9 Trip concludes Logrono
