Reaching Khare, you follow the path of a glacier with views
of the peak you are about to climb. We’ve built in a couple of
acclimatisation days to enable you to get used to the high altitudes
and equipment, so you have the best chance of summiting. Packing
your positive attitude in your day pack, it’s then time to set off up
Mera Peak with your qualified climbing guides. You are based at a
high camp, from where you will make an early start to the summit
for what is sure to be the achievement of a lifetime.
From the bustling bazaars and exotic temples of Kathmandu, you
head into the Hinku Valley to start your journey to ascend Nepal’s
highest trekking peak. A scenic flight to Lukla brings you to Sukey,
where you start your trek via Khari La and Pangum La (3100m)
before descending to the Hinku Valley. From here the walking gets
tougher as you head through forests on high alpine tracks and
boulder-strewn trails, with stunning glacial views and high passes.
